CHOICES, AMONG OTHER THINGSHi there!
It might come as a surprise to you, but I am no longer enrolling in my university this semester. This came as a shock to my family and friends, as they knew i've always dreamed of studying in my current school now, and they know how much I am enjoying my current college life. So, if everything's going well, why leave?
I realized that while I am learning a lot and enjoying right now, it will never get me to where I want to be as a photographer. Let's face it--as much as this university is beautiful, it can't give me what I need to progress in my field of interest. It would require personal time off studies, and even so, it wouldn't give me the same opportunies a dedicated course can. I've never been one to consider studies abroad, since i've always grown attached to our country (and the people in it!). But, after being inspired by many successful artists without traditional schooling (if any)--like manila's graphic designer god Christian San Jose =
csjwcr and the stunning photographer Zhang Jingna `
zemotion to name a few--I figured it would be better for my future to pursue something directly relevant to what I really want to do. After all, that's the whole purpose of education, right?
With a very heavy heart and a blessing from my parents, I have taken a leave of absence for more time to work on my portfolio and other course-related jobs. I am currently applying for colleges now. New York City, please take me in!
on a random note, I think there should be some way for journals on dA to be a little easier to upload. Or maybe it's already easy in the first place, just.. yeah. Haha. Never mind.

Of course, with the choice comes the long-awaited upgrade.

I've finally upgraded to a Canon 7D. After almost 6 months of having no camera at my immediate disposal, the ease of shooting with this camera feels almost foreign to me. I think my work has considerably sped up by 20%. Thank you, 100% magnification and better AF. Haha.
DOKISSATEN CAFE AT SANGO!

Dokissaten Maid and Butler Cafe
November 14, 2009 (whole day)
Sango (The Burger Master)
Ground Floor
Power Plant Mall, Rockwell
Another awesome Cafe event by Dokissaten! This time, it'll be at Sango, Rockwell. Sango is a Japanese fast food joint that features extremely tasty and mouth-watering burgers! Now, imagine those burgers being served by sexy maids and butlers. You can't lose. You should go. Hahaha.

This might be helpful for all Canon camera buyers until December 31, 2009.
While I posted this in my
Tumblr, I figured not everybody would see it there so I posted it here for your convenience.
Happy camera buying!

This is Ionne ~
boozeberry at the airport. We couldn't stop laughing, since we realized that they were all wearing the same clothes they wore for our
Cured filming last march. Haha!

Bardo ~
gooselaff and I at the airport, wondering when our plane'll arrive. We took Tiger Airways.

And there it iis!

We're not excited. At all.
The plane ride was a little bumpy, but livable. Immigration took a very short time, so we were able to ride a taxi to our apartment in no time. The streets there are very, very, very smooth. It's so amazing.
Sana ganito din sa Pilipinas.
Since it was night time when we arrived, my mom took us to a popular hawker center for dinner. Its name slipped my mind, but it's got extremely amazing food. Actually, Singapore has amazing food in general.

Expect to see a lot of photographs of these two, since I keep on taking photographs of them. As if it was their honeymoon or something. Hahahaha.

my mom and me! c:

The food was glorious. We had cereal prawn, satay, carrot cake, and stingray, among other things. Yes, stingray.

Here is a closeup of carrot cake, which tastes a little bit like raddish cake. Yummy!

Here's Bardo ~
gooselaff and Ionne ~
boozeberry celebrating an empty grass jelly mug. That thing was HUGE!

This is my room in Singapore! Ionne gets to stay there during the trip~ I sleep with my mom and brother in the main bedroom, while Bardo sleeps in the living room. Hehe.

Now here we are on the bed, feeling extremely full and lazy. haha.

Wall deco from ikea!

Okay, so I got a little amused by the electric shaver. Hahaha.
Then, we spent the rest of the night using the computer and watching Death Note Live Action on the TV. Haha! Well, those are all the photographs for day one. I'll share more soon!

I will be having
